Ancient Sand Signet Ring | Sapphire

Lines and textures from ancient markings, intentional vintage style. Sand casted in Sterling Silver, with a deep blue faceted sapphire. Flat top, rounded body, original signet ring. The Crystal clear sapphire sits in the corner of the ring, laid in the metal. Becoming one. 

Sand casting is a very old method of casting using special sand, and a shaped object to make jewelry. The artist creates a carved form to create an impression in the sand, the form is then removed to create a hollow and metal is then poured in, creating a one of a kind piece of jewellery with unique textures.

The ring photographed is available in size 7.5, but can be made to order in any size. Every hand casted piece is identical, but made one of a kind with its own textures.
