Melt 1 Ring | Sleeping Beauty Turquoise
No se pudo cargar la disponibilidad de retiro
This ring features a highly textured sterling silver band, and a large freeform Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. Rich blue across the entirety of the turquoise, minimal inclusions.
The Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine was named after the Arizona mountain range where it is located, which from a distance is said to resemble a sleeping woman with her arms crossed. Increased government regulations and mining costs led to the mine's closure in 2012. Since then, Sleeping Beauty turquoise has become more valuable.
Sand casting is a very old method of casting using special sand, and a shaped object to make jewelry. The artist creates a carved form to create an impression in the sand, the form is then removed to create a hollow and metal is then poured in, creating a one of a kind piece of jewellery with unique textures.
