Melted silver closes around a clear and round Kingman Turquoise. Minimal inclusions can be seen in this very blue turquoise, just a few thin veins at the side of the stone. Highly textured, and abstract formed band closes the ring.

The Kingman turquoise mine, operated by the Colbaugh family in Arizona, is the only active source of turquoise in the United States. Historical evidence indicates turquoise mining in the region as far back as 600CE, with ancient tools unearthed in 1962. This Kingman Turquoise stone is completely natural and unaltered.

Sand casting is a very old method of casting using special sand, and a shaped object to make jewelry. The artist creates a carved form to create an impression in the sand, the form is then removed to create a hollow and metal is then poured in, creating a one of a kind piece of jewellery with unique textures.
