While traveling around the world, I visited Chiapas, Mexico, a region where Maya people live, and began working as a silversmith there.

After staying in places such as Taxco, known as the city of silver, I spent several years moving from place to place throughout Mexico, Canada, and the United States while living in a van and teaching myself silversmithing. I moved mainly along the West Coast, following the seasons.

During this period, I also began attending the Tucson Gem Show, held every year in Arizona, and started to experience the cultures of Arizona, New Mexico, and the surrounding areas.

After several years of traveling, WANDERGROUND began in British Columbia, Canada. I sold my work at mineral shows, festivals, markets, and other events.

The things I discovered while wandering around the world have become the roots of my designs.

A Commitment to Traceability

I deeply value traceability.

Whenever possible, I personally visit the places where the natural stones come from and carefully select only stones with a clear origin from sources I can trust.

I use stones purchased directly from miners at events such as the Tucson Gem Show, as well as stones with a known origin supplied by trusted partners I have worked with for many years.

I believe this not only honors the beauty created by the Earth, but also shows respect for the people and environments connected to each stone.
