Sunstone and Campitos Turquoise Earrings
Couldn't load pickup availability
Asymmetrical earrings, with large Campitos Turquoise and faceted Oregon Sunstone. Brass accents hold the sunstone, and the turquoise in sterling silver. Peach in hue, the sunstone compliments the mottled ocean like turquoise.
Campitos Turquoise are sourced from the Campitos mine in Mexico. One of the standout features of Campitos turquoise is its captivating blue colour. Often compared to the captivating shade of Sleeping Beauty's intense blue, Campitos turquoise is known for its brilliant and vibrant hue.
Oregon Sunstone is a unique variety of labradorite feldspar known for its vibrant colours, including red, green, and blue, often with sparkling copper inclusions. Formed in ancient volcanic basalt flows, it is primarily found in the high desert region near Plush, Oregon. Historically, Native Americans valued the stone, and modern mining began in the 1980s. Today commercial operations are small and family run, with a strong emphasis on sustainable practices to preserve the natural desert environment.
~Included with the earrings are gold plated surgical stainless steel hooks, the same material used in implants. It has a lower rate of allergic reactions than sterling silver.~
