Sterling Silver Chain Length

A backdrop of textured sterling silver, with an upside down teardrop of natural Kingman Turquoise. Small uniform circles of blue turquoise held together by mottled black matrix.

The Kingman turquoise mine, operated by the Colbaugh family in Arizona, is the only active source of turquoise in the United States. Historical evidence indicates turquoise mining in the region as far back as 600CE, with ancient tools unearthed in 1962. This Kingman Turquoise stone is completely natural and unaltered.

Sand casting is a very old method of casting using special sand, and a shaped object to make jewelry. The artist creates a carved form to create an impression in the sand, the form is then removed to create a hollow and metal is then poured in, creating a one of a kind piece of jewellery with unique textures.
